Break My Soul is a genocide anthem

My perspective is definitely aligned with Van this last pod. I believe that if an artist like Kanye, Drake or even Rihanna had shown their music film in Israel would cause far more outrage and discussion.

Beyonce has called herself Malcolm X on a few occasions, on music and on stage. Her desire for liberation exists in her music and I have always championed that, so it is disheartening to see that there has been silence on this matter. The fact the film was shown there leaves a sour taste and the silence has been louder than ever.

I’ve had some users tell me “you expect Beyonce to be the leader of brown faced Arab liberation?” Interesting choice of words, assuming that I think Beyonce can stop genocide, that’s not what we want. We just want actions to match up. When there was the passing of George Floyd many “brown faced” people in their countries were in solidarity.

and that’s all we are asking for, it’s even difficult saying this because of how you feel about Beyonce but I care about my people. You will never meet Beyonce and those kids will never know there parents
