Ultrawidegaming with a PS5 - LG 34gp950g, no HDMi 2.1

I've just bought this LG Ultrawide monitor.

It's great for work. However, I game on a PS5.

Before buying I looked up gaming monitors, looked at the refresh rate and with my lack of knowledge and tendency to shortcut I was convinced by the good ratings and reviews.

Come to find out that this monitor doesn't support HDMI 2.1 and apparently you need that in order to play PS5 games in 1440p.

When I play PS5 now the max I get is 1080p and the games have more stretch marks than Subway Jared.

What are my best options here? Anyone else ran into this issue?
