Rues name connection to season 2

Even though Zendaya’s character names is actually Ruby Bennett, her nickname Rue, comes to play during her redemption at the end of season 2. Has many meanings but two of them stuck out to me, which were to regret and to repent. In season 2, episode 6, we see Rue struggling to open a jolly rancher. That jolly rancher represents her guilt/regret, once she apologizes to Ali because her behavior under the influence, and he accepts it, she is relieved of her guilt and is able to open the candy…the jolly rancher scene is also the catalyst to her repentance. Connecting her name to her betterment.
