What is point of the battery recharger?

So here's my situation: I am doing Tangoroa right now, and I did some research to learn that the next point of the game is varuna point, where I find the win turbine and advanced battery. I want 2 advanced batteries for a recycler and sprinkler, and 1 normal battery for a reciever.

I want to make a battery recharger, but I really don't know if it's worth it since the wind turbine seems straight up better(it doesn't take biofuel and can charge more batteries at once). So should I just wait until varuna point?
