Freelance realization
I was just hired two weeks ago as an appointment setter. Zero experience and I only have two months of sales experience, hindi pa nga hard selling. During the interview, I specifically said na I have zero experience with appointment setting and O don't consider my sales experience as an experience kase parang for formality lang yon during the time na I was a customer service representative for an anti theft acct pero the hiring manager said na it's okay lang daw kase "we don't do hard selling". Sabi ko sige sure and I so I started the next day. Kaya naman, okay ang offer, weekly ang sweldo. What I noticed though is, setting an appointment is beyong our control kase the calls that would come in are either voicemails, phone tree and hang ups. For the whole week ns I took in calls, wala akong naiset na appointment. Then came next week, hindi kami pinapasok for two days dahil the leads will have a meeting daw about the agents na hindi nakaksreach ng goal. The next day, hindi pa din kami pinapasok ksse papakinggan daw nila calls namin and they asked for explanation. I told them na they can listen to my call recordings kase they are available naman and maririnig naman nila majority of calls na nakukuha namen, mga voicemails nga, phone tree or binabagsakan talaga kami ng telepono. Around 25 kami na hindi pinapasok at papakinggan mga calls. It got me thinking, kailan sila matatapos kase sa isang ahente lang, umaabot na ng 400+ ang calls. It was queuing kase may autodialer kami for outbound but it was the kind of queuing na hindi toxic. Tapos after that two days na hindk kami pinapasok, wala kaming pasok ulit for two days because of Thanksgiving so issng beses lang ang naipasok namin that week kaya when you look at it, six days lang ang naipasok namin.
Anyway, fast forward to last night, I received a PM from the hiring manager and asked if I can go to his zoom room and I said sure. Pagdating ko, there were other agents there. Nung andon na lahat, saka sinabi samen na "You're all here because of the same reason and that is your performance. We checked your scores and most of you either got one, two appointments and the rest has zero." Then he proceeded with "Me and the owner along with your manager met up virtually and discussed how to go along with this and we decided to let you all go and it is effective immediately."
On my end, tinanggap ko na kase what's the use of arguing, decided naman na but others had questions and they were valid. Merong andon na kabatch ko din, she said it's harsh that they just decided to let us go without giving us a chance most especially if our scores are beyond our control dahil it was based on how many appointments ang naiset namin and setting appointments talaga is not hard but at the same time, tyempuhan dahil nga the kinds of calls na narireceive namin. The other one said we didn't even get a chance to prove ourselves kase some of us were able to reach the goal this wee kagaya ko.
Don ko narealized na ang unstable pala talaga ng freelance just like what others told me. Ganon ganon na lang sya, let go kung let go. This is a learning lesson for me kase first time ko maging freelancer.
Ayon, share ko lang. No hard feelings on my end kase ganon talaga.
