a unique case (need help with dealing with background check talk)

I am one of the less common cases of having misdemeanors (soon to be expunged) and being an RSO.

Throwaway account for a super obvious reason.

I was convicted some years ago on sexual battery and currently am a TIER 1 RSO in California.

I passed my interviews with flying colors as a software engineer and kinda in the process of offer/background check talk.

how detailed should i talk about what I did? I read up on stuff related to what im going through and apparently i should bring it up before they find out about it through a bg check.
