Meat Slicer for Hot Pot - Does Anybody Use an Electric One? Any Tips for Slicing with a Manual Device?

Does anybody slice their own meat at home for hot pot with an electric meat slicer? If so, what kind do you use and what wattage does it have?

I currently use a manual slicer (looks like a paper cutter). It works OK, but can be unwieldly and the meat doesn't always end up beautifully curled. Any tips for doing slicing meat manually?
