Keep losing them

Not going to say his name because it hasn't been released as far as I know of. We lost another in ukraine about 3 weeks ago. The others hurt but this one was deep. He was that guy that we all loved over here. Not going to say location either but it's one of the shittiest of hell holes that I've seen so far.

He always saw the better part in things and talked me down multiple times when I wanted to stop fighting a war and just make it straight murder. He loved his classical philosophy books and would never shut the fuck up about Plato, Socrates, Aristotle, etc. Now I wish I'd get another late night rant about the difference on living and seeing life.

He was a true 0311 through and through. Even in pain he was on the radio coordinating and keeping others calm he should have been doubling over. Couldn't break down a 240 to get a free beer but he could lead. He was the best I've seen but he did with what he had. If you needed any help, he was there to give it.

This more a closure post to get me out of the feels than anything else. Shit just sucks and hurts
