Glandular dosage issue
At the recommendation of a naturopath, I’m taking Vital Nutrients Adrenal Support, a glandular supplement. He prescribed 1-2 at breakfast and lunch, so 2-4 total per day. He warned me that dosing was tricky. At first I couldn’t tolerate it at even 2 a day (overstimulated me.. gave me insomnia and headaches). Two a day was way too much for me (which is the dose on the bottle). But then I found that I could take 1/2 capsule 2x a day (total of 1 cap a day). I’m not sleeping that great, and I tried stopping it, and my insomnia got worse, so I think the glandular has been helping.
Lately, my sleep has gone downhill. Do you think my body has adjusted and maybe I should try taking more now? Maybe it’s helping my adrenals heal. I’ve been doing 1 cap a day for about 6 weeks. It’s not as effective now though. I can’t decide if I should quit it altogether or up the dose. I’m definitely not healed. My cortisol curve is way messed up and I have terrible insomnia.
Any thoughts about this? Do you think my body might be ready for more now?
Do people build a tolerance to the glandulars?
