Repaired my Fader today
I'm fortunate enough to have the skills and tools to effect a repair myself. That said, it's not too hard. They used a cheap fader and supplied a knob that's not really compatible with the shaft. Putting too much pressure on it bends the wipers so they no-longer make contact. I tried non invasive things first, specialized controls cleaner, and also deoxit, but mine was too far gone, even the plastic had snapped.
The hardest part was removing all those damn screws.
- Back Removed
- Damn, that's a lot of screws
- Front removed.
- Buttons removed.
- Fader desoldered - they are using a quite cheap fader that's easy to get a replacement for.Amazon link
- Part of the plastic is also broken on mine
- Pre-superglue step
- Ready to reassemble

- [Looks like new] (https://imgur.com/hw27qqR)
Everything is working great again now, the only bad thing is my lack of musical talent.
