My Seahawks rant 💀💀💀 (Y’all may not agree. That is totally fine)
Here's my take on this offense, DK, and some other stuff (I just wanted somewhere to get this off of my chest):
DK may occasionally make boneheaded decisions, like dropping the ball, but I believe it happens because he doesn't get enough opportunities. For the past couple of years, I've been saying that we're not utilizing someone like Metcalf effectively. Week after week, coaches like Shanahan and McDaniels tailor their offenses around their key players (Deebo/CMC & Tyreek/Mostert), and it works wonders. We've got three underrated receivers who, on paper, should be delivering much more production. Some blame falls on the quarterback, sure, but Geno isn't the sole issue. Shane Waldron seems incapable of crafting a game plan that maximizes the strengths of our top players, leading to constant 3 & outs. Unfortunately, I strongly believe that if DK were on a team that truly valued him—treating him like the top-tier talent he is—his stats would skyrocket. I'm confident you'd agree that if Andy Reid or Kyle Shanahan had our exact offense, they'd consistently put up over 30 points every week. Consider our roster:
- DK Metcalf (6’3, 230 pounds, runs a 4.3)
- Kenneth Walker III (Incredibly elusive)
- Tyler Lockett (Simply gets open)
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba (Displays flashes)
- Zach Charbonnet (Combines strength and elusiveness)
- Noah Fant (TE running a 4.4)
You see where I'm going with this. These players should easily make us a top-10 offense, at least. The offensive talent we possess is outstanding. Simply put, it might be time for a cultural and coaching shift in Seattle—considering changes in the OC, HC, and maybe even DC. Pete Carroll has been fantastic for the Seahawks, but his methods are outdated now. It's time for the Seahawks to make their biggest change since hiring John Schneider and Pete Carroll. Let me know if you agree.
