academic standing

my friend is on an academic warning this semester and she doesn’t think her gpa will be above 2 by the end of this semester. her advisor said she can still enroll in and attend classes next semester but needs to get it to 2 or above by the end of next semester (which she definitely can because she’ll be super close) but she wants to make sure she’ll be okay to attend next semester. does anyone know or have experience with this?
