When should I be wearing sunglasses?

I was diagnosed with RP Earl this year, and my eye doctor basically ran things over with me in a flurry with no real instructions other than to try to find a clinical trial. It can also be difficult to get any recommendations from that clinic without fully scheduling an appointment.

One thing the doctor said was to wear sunglasses. Of course I understand that I should be wearing them while outside, but when I see videos of folks who deal with RP I notice they are wearing UV protection inside as well.

Does anyone have recommendations on when I should be wearing them?
