What are my chances of getting into an I/O Master's/Doctorate program?
I love the idea of I/O and have never been interested in clinical/counseling psychology. I'm a junior in college with my Psychology bachelor's completed. By the time I'm finished with college I will have two additional bachelors degrees in Human Services and Social Sciences. My GPA is a 3.6 but will definitely go up before I graduate because my difficult courses are out of the way.
I might get to assist my professor in research sometime in the future (he had previously offered but I was busy that semester). I haven't conducted any independent research, but I will have time to conduct some in the future (and plenty of good ideas). I also have never had any of my work published.
I haven't attended any conferences/symposiums, but I will be presenting my research at the Undergrad Research Symposium at my university this semester.
I suck really bad at math, so I know I'm not going to do so hot on the math portion of the GRE, but I have ample time to prepare for the the other two sections, so my score shouldn't be too awful. I also plan on taking the Psychology GRE, which I hopefully will do well on.
Also, I know that I will have a good recommendation from one psychology professor, but who else is a good idea to ask for recommendations from? I'm not too close with too many of my professors.
With these stats, what do you think my chances are of getting into a master's/doctorate I/O program? I am also interested in Social/Consumer psychology. I'm not picky about the prestige of the institution either.
