How I feel after grinding out all my snowflakes for the salvage event (I have 231 snowflake eligible ships)

It's actually easier with more ships IMO, until you're getting close to but not over the next threshold.
I have ~420 ships and knocked off 4-5 snowflakes per asymmetric battle. I ran out of snowflakes before I ran out of ships I hadn't played in a while but wanted to.
I probably should have been playing asyms to be honest, my go to is co-ops because of how fast they are on a per ship basis.
Ops would have worked too, for 200 I think the 2 bonus snowflake theshold was what, 500 bxp? 800?
800
thanks. annoying you can't look at it on the rewards tab if you already cleared all your snowflakes.
Do you keep every tech tree ship in your port?
I have every TT over t5 besides subs, of which I have none because they are cancer. I have South Carolina because I live there, plus St Louis and Clemson because an occasional bot/seal clubbing low tier random in them is hilarious.
I've been playing 3 years or so. I leveled a bunch of lines at once, which is apparently not the typical style. For at least the first year I didn't have the port slots or credits to keep anything I wasn't actively using, so I sold everything as I leveled up. I always did whatever was required to get most of the ships as new lines dropped, since they come with slots that way. As I gained port slots I rebought elite ships, starting with t8/9 ships to max snowflake rewards.
Eventually I had more port slots than I needed, to the point where I now have 4-5 t1 ships holding all my slots full on the off chance a TT ship drops someplace without a slot, although I think they've mostly done away with them not getting slots now. When I was starting if a TT ship dropped and you had open slots, you wouldn't get a new slot as it would just take one of your empties. They periodically dropped low tier ships on Prime or had free Steam packages of 3x3 T3 ships, which was another way to grab slots.
Do you have captain on every ship, or you're just swap them when needed?
I have at least 10 pointers on everything I play, but I don't play the majority of my ships. Collab events and such drench you in free 3, 6, and 10 pt commanders, and any lootbox ship drop gives a 10 pointer. I've got a good amount of ships with no commander at all, either because the ship just isn't fun or I have a better TT/premium version of it. Pretty much anything t8+ has a 10pt captain on it.
Congrats on finally getting Defence person using American English.
I mean, it's not like there are other english's/s
Real talk though, what other spelling would it be? I know other countries have different spelling of certain words, but is there a British spelling of this that's different?
The British spelling is Defence.
Ahh, the c. Not going to lie here, both of them look correct in my head, so I didn't even notice that they had spelt it differently.
I don't care enough to play all of my t8 and 9's
I had to complete 544 ships. It took a while. Not sure if I'm going to grab Defense through Coal/Steel...might try to burn out some Research Bureau Points before the event ends.
Honestly, I could only average about 15 ships a day before I started feeling my soul leaving me. I like this game, but slogging through my t6-7 was just rough.
Grabbed all the way to Kitakami myself. Used over 800,000 coal and 86k RB points. Used 1,700 steel take me over the limit to stage 80. 574 ships now.
I had 400+ snowflake ships. Thank goodness for the availability of "Rewards"; those took care of CVs, subs, and playing low tier US BBs in co-op......
I have around 120 ships (all T7-T10 except for a few low tier premiums), took me a few hours of constantly ramming my ships into the closest target in coop to get it done.
Guys please help me understand
Are RB points not the most efficient way of progressing this event?
Like I have a stupid amount of free exp that I use to just reset haru line and bank RB points.
Is this not the best way?
Personally, I hate the idea of "prestiging" or resetting, so I just don't partake in the rb. I reset my yamato line and German bb line ages ago and regretted it since.
RBs are the most efficient way, all else being equal. But if, for example, you have 2 million coal and have all the coal ships then why not use 1.5M coal instead, etc. If you somehow got 10 drops of 180 days prem time from mega boxes then why not use prem time (for 16%) anyway?
Yep and no regrets - it is pretty fun.
I am on a 10x RB multiplier on Harugumo and already unlocked Ferruccio. So Kitakami would not be a problem to reach. But I am just not interested in a T4 memeboat warped into T10. Defence looks more appealing to me and I will keep the RB for Sicilia or Rhode Island which look more interesting.
Did you do it in Coop ?
Remembering the Exeter grind and feeling this meme by proxy.
Made the conscious decision to not punish myself like this again.
150 ships, 75 games in random/ranked... finished last week, just playing my usual 3-5 games in an evening.
I know no one will take my advice, but here it is anyway: trim your fleet to just keep the ships that actually mean something to you.
No one will take it because it’s horrible advice. Trimming your fleet does absolutely nothing for you
It does if the ❄️ events cause you frustration because of your OCD.
Personally, I'm past this game as a hard-core hobby, and mostly just play it for the operations and occasional div up with friends. To that end, I've taken to collecting ships and going for that big collector badge. I can essentially print money and xp with operations, so I have just been rebuying all the ships from all nations starting from the low tiers up in the tech tree. Defence just happened to catch my attention as I really love the all guns forward look and it's box of gimmicks looked fun. Add to that not really being interested in the coal or steel ships in the armory, I didn't really have a better use of my resources.
Besides, so far defence really has lived up to my interest in her. Her guns are comfy and her torps are memey, plus her bag of gimmicks of course. All in all, I will likely never do a grind like this again, but I am happy with the end results.
I completed 423 ships. Earned over 10,000 steel. Had 58K steel and 1,000,000 coal in the bank.
Had.
You bought the kita?
That "had" tells me he got not only Kitakami but the event camo as well.
I did NOT buy the event camo. Blegh. But yes, I bought the Kita.
