But he aged like a milk, and then we got this jiren.

And yellow freeza.

And UI now.

Roshi was always this gimmick character, a very powerful gimmick mind you but outside of that his stats are pretty ass which holds him back from placing him in teams from the moment he was available

Roshi is great in particular situations but most of the time he falls short. Jiren on the other hand is a pretty decent tank, nothing meta defining but a solid unit.

Roshi was amazing at the time he came out. Probably better than yellow jiren but they both aged horribly

Jiren i dont think aged badly, he just got replaced. His kit overall is still solid. Good stats post transformation.

Im not sure. Hes not crazy or anything but hes still a totally solid and useable character. A character like Buu Duo, Movie Roshi, Green Gohan cant even live for like 10 timer counts. Jiren at least can stick around and put in some work

Jiren's buff null on first entry has turned the tide of so many games for me. He puts in WORK.

Roshi honestly might be better now, he does crazy blast damage, more then jiren, and while he tanks worse and has worse utility. His gimmick is the strongest single mechanic in the game.
