Dealing with foreign wizards

Recently I have moved into a small mountain village. To my surprise, the community has not just multiple wizards, but many who are immigrants from other worlds.

However, I often find myself coming into conflict with these wizards, as they hale from places with strange alien forms of magic.

For example, Dave my neighbor hales from a land where they must... Store all their spells in objects. And then there's Pete. In Pete's culture the only way they can perform magic is to spend hours in a ritual only to create the most mild of curses. Disgusting, I know. However I am determined to make my stay pleasant.

How do I deal with these foreign wizards? Their magic disgusts me, but I want to remain on good terms with them.
