Explore 2 - Cannot search by address, only points of interest

I recently bought an edge explore 2 mainly for the navigation potential.
However when trying to search by address (rather than store name or "bike shop" etc...) I don't get any results. I only get results if the address I search for is already marked as a point of interest.

I compared with a friend who has an Edge 830, with the same search prompts he has no issues finding locations based on address.

Another friend recently bought an explore 2 as well & has the same issue.

I have tried updating software via Garmin Express, updating to the latest official maps, and using a third party OSM CycleMap extract from bbbike.org

I'm located in Estonia if that is of importance.

Has anyone experienced this issue before and/or knows how to fix this?
