Boost infinite messed up my number transfer, I have been limbo for a month

I originally transferred my number to Boost and went through the standard procedure, get the transfer account number and pin, call up Boost, provide the information, etc, and believed everything was set and all good to go, oh boy was I wrong.

Turns out the first Boost technician completely messed up my transfer, wrong address, state, and all sorts of issues, to this day I still don't know what they did, but on my original carrier (Verizon), I see that they are transferring the number, but Boost is claiming transfer failed and I'm completely out of service.

I borrowed my friend's phone to call and ended up in a three way conference call with Boost and Verizon for over 4 hours. Nothing was accomplished except to restart the number transfer process and pray that it works (hint, it didn't).

Now, things were looking pretty bad, as I was calling Boost almost daily to try and get this resolved. After a week or so someone at Boost just suggested, hey, why don't we just give you a new number and a 25$ voucher so you have connectivity, at that point I was like sure, why not, you messed up and lost my number, left me a week without cellular, at least you are trying to make up for it somewhat.

However, after 2 days my old number transferred! I see a new line in Boost with my old number alongside the new one Boost gave me. I was surprised, does this mean I get to have my old number back after all?

I called up Boost again explaining my situation, first person took my call, said "let me look into that for you", but me on hold for 30 minutes and hung up. Wonderful.

Second person called, told me that surprise, we actually can't just "swap" your lines, so you actually need to re-transfer your number out to another carrier, and transfer it back. At this point I'm too deep in, so I transferred my number to Google Fi and waited for that whole process to finish.

Called another person, this time they told me that they can't just "transfer in and replace" my number on the phone, I have to create a new line to do so. So why the hell did I have to transfer the number out in the first place??? On the side note, I already paid 25$ for a "temporary" line Boost added, and some money to Google for them to hold my number.

Finally, Boost told me they can add a line to my IMEI 2, and transfer that number in and disable the one I got from Boost. This is where I am at now. I pray that this works. But to anyone thinking about getting Boost, be aware that this may be the situation you will end up in.
