Installed ecobee but branch invites don’t work at all on some phones.

I installed my new ecobee and got it up and running just fine. However when I try to invite my girlfriend the invite (via branch) does the buggy thing I’ve seen it do frequently in the past.

Instead of opening the app and letting her join it just repeatedly asks her to download the app and even if she opens it from the App Store it repeatedly asks her to join or create a home. If she selects join it simply gives her instructions to do the exact same thing I just did to send her the invite.

The thing is, I’ve seen branch do this stuff myself when I’ve used branch for marketing purposes in the past. Branch is junk it should never be used for critical purposes like being the ONLY way to join an account.

Does anyone know if there is ANY other way to join an existing account? Maybe the REAL deep link hidden by branch? I really don’t want to go through the pain of debugging someone else’s branch link just to join my own ecobee.
