I am writing an Isekai, give me your suggestions!
Basic premise breakdown: In the fantasy realm of Aredia, the Pantheon of Gods' Champions have grown lazy and corrupt. Long ago, the Pantheon began gifting humans from another world small fragments of power, sending them out to become powerful heroes and acting on the will of their patron god. Over time, the world has adapted to these special people and now it grows stagnant. The Champions have grown lazy, corrupt, and neglectful of their purpose. They take bribes, they take slaves, they hide away or build their own lives far away from others, the Champions are weak and fragmented. The god of Time, severed from the Pantheon has taken notice, and foresees a great calamity as the corruption of the champions combines with a new assault from the forces of Hell. He steps in, in such a way he never has before, producing a new Champion of his own. The Champion of Time, blessed more than a fragment, but nearly all the power the god of Time could produce, has the infallible ability to create a save state. In short, he can will time to be bound to one point, and return at will, and will even do so automatically after death. His job is to go across the world with his blessing and unite the Champions, bring them to heel and get them ready for the ensuing calamity.
Its an ability I know has been done before, I've seen a few instances wherein it has, but I'm going to approach it from a different angle. Essentially, a primary facet of the ability that isn't touched up on more is the way we as people interact with time. Its not just a broken OP ability, It's something that completely changes the way that you think about what a moment means, what an experience means, since you essentially have unlimited time comparative to everyone else in the world.
I figure it would be interesting to get takes from this subreddit on what you guys would like to see out of something like this.
