Recs for Improvement

I'm in the second semester of my senior year, and I wanted some recommendations to get me started on the Western canon, maybe more classics, etc... (Iliad, Odyssey, War & Peace)

Here are some of the books I've read(mostly because they've been forced by teachers):

Jane Eyre, Pride & Prejudice, Animal Farm, Wuthering Heights...

I definitely want to get to that level of reading (the ones I mentioned above in my first sentence), but I really don't know where to start. I'm up for a challenge, but I'd like for it to be a progression/scaling-up situation and not diving right into something too complex.

thanks in advance!
