Adding cpu cooler to laptop?

Question

So I have a Asus TUF f15 with a broken 3070 gpu. I have not used it for about 4 months now and now Im planning on turning it into a desktop. Im asking you guys if it would be practical to place a cooling fan on top of the CPU? Via screwing, tying, glueing, or just having it sit there. If this could be done, what temps/clock speeds could I be expecting? When the laptop was in working order, I would expecttemps of 90-100c after surpassing a clock speed of 2.90Ghz underload, so it was really bogged down while playing some games. The cpu is a i7-12650H, what GPU should I pair it with? (it will be via oculink).

Heres an example of "Jarrod'sTech" doing it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8S6JwHm8EIE&ab_channel=Jarrod%27sTech
