Advice for kicking stuff off?

Hey! I’d say im a intermediate guitar/bassist and I’ve had a lot of trouble bridging the gap from just a music fan and hobbyist to a ligit player that being because of lack of other musicians in my life and a place to really learn and grow I just wanted to ask if anyone has any advice for meeting other musicians locally in a small town or ideas to really grow and learn as a musician outside of my bedroom.
