Adepta Sororitas Baneblade?

My sister gifted me a baneblade tank kit for Christmas which is awesome! However I'm relatively new to the hobby so I just started building my first army. If I painted my new baneblade in sororitas colors could I use it in tabletop or will it be relegated to the shelf until/if i build an Guard army?
