Is Instagram community dumber than Reddit?

I feel like the Instagram community while discussing politics and, well....anything, related stuff they immediately resort to calling each other names and start defaming each other's family. While I've noticed that discussions on Reddit are more diplomatic and with less cussing.

So, are you guys not there on Instagram? Or do people become more diplomatic on Reddit and resort to basic instincts on Instagram?
