Snow Chains

Hi Everyone,

I’m visiting Queenstown from 25th to 31st August. While renting the car, I’m getting an option to get snow chains. My question is do i need snow chains if i’ll be driving to the remarkables or near by peaks for skiing or am i okay without getting them.
