Is there no way to set the player count for matchmaking?

I'm 98% confident the answer is no. But I just wanted to confirm. I'm happy enough the option to matchmake online is there. It would be nice if you could just matchmake for 1 partner. 4 players just feels a bit chaotic. I had a scenario where we started with us 4 then two players left. Me and the last guy actually made a good team. It just feels more deliberate with there's not so many players.

Mario Wonder did a fantastic job when it comes to online play. That being said, I love Mario Maker 2. It's basically a infinite mario galore.
