Male Privilege Is Questionable
It is considered undeniable that men are privileged. Not only feminists argue this, but Conservatives who are strong proponents of a patriarchal hierarchy also believes that men are privileged and inherently dominant.
Men do have privileges.
But these are questionable privileges that will expose men to suffering.
This is not only true for those who have difficulty in being a man, but also those who are seemingly very successful men.
By framing male privilege as an unquestionable good, everyone, even feminists, becomes blind to the negative consequences to being a man.
Anyone who denies this has fundamentally misunderstood how feminism works.
Lastly, men’s inability to be ‘good feminists’ and renounce their ‘toxicity’ is not an individual moral failure, but a social collective failing. To say otherwise reproduces the suffering that’s part of what it means to be a man.
