How do I forgive the people who tried to off me?

Venting

Pretty long story some I'll some it up pretty quickly:

Back in highschool, I was in a group which basically includes these two kids, they started off cool but eventually they started to turn bad, they would talk trash about people, about me, and gradually became insufferable sociopathic assholes. But worst of all was their evangelical atheists views, everyday they would constantly talk trash about everyone religion and act out in the most disrespectful and annoying fashion. And it's pissed them off that I was a Christian and didn't give the satisfaction of getting angry or any reaction. But the worst part is that the summer coming back from sophomore year they made weird remarks about trying kill me over the summer, in that moment I should have told someone or walked away, but I didn't because in highschool I was in this weird stage where I tried to justify the abuse I was getting. But eventually I left after having enough. Found some new friends and peace. But eventually (especially after graduation) those unaddressed feelings turned to anger and rage, I was mad that they treated me that way, I was made they were planning to kill me, and I wanted satisfaction of confronting them. But I never saw them again and I don't know what ultimately happened to them but I still have this rage towards them and flares up whenever I see any person acting like them.

I don't like what this rage does to me personally, but I don't know how to properly get rid of it. I mean these sickos were planning to kill me for no good reason, how do you forgive or work through that? I don't know, part of me wants to let go and move and one part me wants them to try and do just so I can let out all my rage. I don't know what to do honestly, maybe one of you could help.
