East coast vs west coast

I’ve been skiing in very and pa my whole life and I got really good to the point of winning park and free skiing competitions. Now me and my friends finally saved up enough money to get an air bnb in Colorado for a week and we plan on skiing the whole week. What would you say is some of the big differences, concerns, and things I should know before going because if I’m honest I’ve never snowed more than 1-3 feet of snow in my life and I’ve heard it gets pretty steep out west.
