Product photography

Hey guys , i’m starting a new business and hiring a photographer in my country is way out of my budget. So I decided to make my own small product photography corner in my room. My question is that i didn’t find a backdrop that is close to the color i have in mind, can i choose another color and edit it in post production to be to my specifications? Also what is your opinion on light boxes? Are the any good? Thanks 🙏🏻
