Does anyone else feel that more businesses should be closed today?
Today is effectively a “hurricane day”- basically a snow day for those who haven’t experienced it much yet. We’ve had much more talk and concern with names cyclones headed our way with identical circumstances- high winds, possible bridge closures, not too much rain but likely downtown and riverside flooding.
My work and home is at the beach and I can call it quits whenever so I’m still out working today. But I’m somewhat concerned my wife won’t be able to get home today, and many of her afternoon appointments have already canceled but she’s still required to be stay at the office in Riverside till close.
Does it not seem reasonable to just give everyone the afternoon off, or at least have voluntary shifts for those that live close as is typical during hurricanes?
