Is my tape deck done for?

I have a QFX J-220BT Radio and Cassette player. Just recently I discovered the tape deck worked so my fiancée got me some Nujabes Cassettes. Yesterday I put one in and my attention was called elsewhere, so I put it on pause and left. I came back much later and finally turned it off and the next morning the pins don’t want to turn, no matter which cassette I play. Is it a drive belt issue or should I just buy a new cassette player?
