Dave and his frequent use of “Rice & Beans”.

This is, admittedly, a different (and supposed to be light-hearted) post for this subreddit.

Been listening to Ramsey for just a little while now. One of the things I’ve adapted in my normal-day vernacular is “rice & beans times” when discussing people, families or organizations that need to submit to an immediate and intense budget.

So knowing this is a very common thing said by Ramsey… has anyone else… ended up actually craving rice and beans?

My finances are fine. No debt except for my mortgage, which is a very reasonable percentage of my income, and a very strong percentage of my income goes into retirement funding.

I am not in need of restricting my diet to rice and beans… but I think about “rice and beans” so often… I actually get cravings for it. I’m making it for dinner for myself tonight.

Anyone else added rice and beans to their lunch or dinner roster not because you need to but because you hear it and say it so often you get weirdly hungry for it?
