Would I get any help if I were to contact police about an ex making threats?
Just looking for some advice. please point me in the right direction is this isn't the right subreddit to ask this kind of thing in. I'm in the UK if that adds perspective.
I split up with my ex over 12 months ago now and when we split up I owed some money from a previous holiday which has all been paid off. For context I split up with him and told him other than arranging payment for the money I owed that I didn't want to speak to him. He has since started calling my phone upwards of 15-20 times a night (3am onwards) and sends multiple text messages asking for 'closure'. He can be very manipulative, and had anger issues, and would often tell me how he could 'very easily' punch children and teenagers in the face for being 'rowdy' or 'annoying', so I don't exactly feel comfortable talking to him, and all family and friends etc had said to block him and ignore it. He would then make separate accounts on social media and contact me there. He's only getting worse and has now taken to making threats of "I could ruin your life very easily" and how he's "so close to doing things" that would 'ruin my life'. He kept sending multiple texts saying "do I really need to come to your house? cut I will" Would I be overreacting if I called the non-emergency number and got police involved? He knows where I live and I'm getting worried about what he's going to do, I suffer with anxiety and he knows this so some part of me thinks he's only doing it to try and get a response but from seeing his anger issues its scaring me.
Please tell me what you guys think I should do?
