Recent Bipolar I Diagnosis

I recently was diagnosed with bipolar 1 after have a manic episode right around Christmas. I was diagnosed with bipolar 2 back in September and was prescribed Serequil. After taking it for a month I got off of it and thought everything was fine until this manic episode that was on the verge of psychosis had I not been given a xanax to put myself to sleep. I’m back on Serequil after the diagnosis but still feeling really depressed and spoke with my doctor about changing my meds. I was wondering if anyone had any advice or any similar experiences or any advice on meds. I am also taking Adderall for add and hydroxide for anxiety (which doesn’t seem to do much)

I am 23 and currently attending grad school at NYU.
