PSA if you’re pregnant, just get the flu shot
FTM I’m not against vaxinations at all but in my first trimester when I was offered the flu shot I turned it down, as I wasn’t insured yet and didn’t think it was really necessary as I had not gotten the flu in ages. As far as I remembered the last time I had it I was a kid so I turned it down, thinking the chances of me getting it are low. Well here I am, 28 weeks, incapacitated by the flu. I can barely move, my whole body aches, struggling to keep my eyes open due to them warring constantly, congested, headache from hell, chest pain, nauseated.. I don’t remember ever being this sick in my life. Combined with the standard third trimester aches and pains, I’m completely disabled and miserable. Picking up some tamiflu tomorrow hopefully it helps. But for anyone that may have had the same assumption as me, just get the flu vaccine.
