Xbox Microsoft account locked and it’s impossible to unlock
So I’m trying to get back into my old Xbox 360 live account to play some old halo and cod games which have a bunch of DLC’s I bought years ago.
I signed into the Xbox and it said that I needed to verify the email, but it’s been almost 15 years and I no longer use that email. So it said I have to go through the online verification process.
I tried to sign in on the Xbox app on my phone and it said the same thing, there’s suspicious activity on my account and I need to verify.
So I did the verification and yes correctly. The only field I was missing is the xbox ID because I’m using a different one then I had originally set up on. Almost immediately I received an email saying the information I provided “isn’t sufficient enough” and that my “account has additionally been blocked”. Tried again with the new Xbox ID, same thing.
The last thing I tried was the account recovery using a linked email address which worked! I was able to reset the password on my account. But guess what? When it redirected me to go sign in with my new password it still says I need to verify! How was that not verification if I was able to change the password??
So now what? On Xbox’s online chat it just gives me the options I already tried that don’t work. The customer support number literally just tells you to read the website then hangs up. And you can’t request a phone call unless you are signed in. I can’t f*ing sign in lol!
Does anyone know what to do? The online forms don’t work and it seems impossible to speak with an actual person at Microsoft. I know the email address, password and gamertag to my account and obviously I answered all the questions right.. it’s my address and birthday I can’t get it wrong. I really don’t know what to do at this point. Any tips appreciated.
