A very dear friend of mine moved here (NC) from Reno last year with her (now ex) boyfriend. He became physically and verbally abusive with her. They've had fights that make me sick to my stomach, and she's currently staying with a neighbor. He has been harassing her ever since. He paid for them to get here, and he promised to send her AND her dog back if things went sour. He has since reneged on his promise.

She, her sister, and I are working hard, trying to raise money for a return trip. Since the pup is involved, we're going to have to rent a car and make the 36-hour trek across the country. We will need modest hotel accommodations while on the road, as well as gas and a return flight home. We are currently pooling our resources and will begin making our own contributions to this campaign, so it will all go to the same place. We've attempted to get her ex to pay his share of the funds, but we have yet to have any luck with that.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to improve my posts or make this more visible. The domestic violence resource groups I've found thus far don't accept crowdfunding campaigns, but I'm hoping to garner support in the Reddit community. We have already shared this via Facebook, text, email, and whichever platforms our acquaintances have available. Any contribution or advice would be much appreciated! TIA
