Blender on MacBook

Dears, I'm wondering how is the performance on MacBook currently? When I'm looking for information there are a lot of posts from 2 years back and with Blender 4.0 now I'm wondering if anything changed. I'm looking into buying a MacBook Pro M1 14 inch mainly for music production and programming.. however a couple of days a ago I started using Blender and i must say i want to explore it deeper definitely. Do you think that it will be good for rendering short animations (1-2 min) in cycles?
