But you work in a sewing store.

Customers Suck!

I work at a fabric and craft store. I was working the register but took a phone call while we were dead. It was like -27 degrees outside with snow everywhere the store was a ghost town. Anyway, guy asks if we sew at our store. I say no we do not but we sell supplies for people to do it themselves. He asks why we don't sew for people. I tell him that we are retail establishment and we're not seamstresses. Not everyone here sews. It's just not a service we offer. I tell him we have a board in the back with business cards on it he's welcome to come look at them. He yelled at me saying we are a sewing store and that means we sew for people. I ask him what he's trying to have done and it's a wedding dress for his daughter. I refer him to a local woman who specializes in that and he says he already talked to her and she wants 800 dollars to make it including supplies. I'm like look, she's charging for supplies and labor. She's actually giving you a deal as wedding dresses can be extremely pricey. Handmade is pricey.
"There's a 60 percent off coupon today I should be able to have yall make it and use the coupon"

I laughed at him and told him to have a good day and good luck with his search and handed him off to my manager because he's just something else.
