Should I join the marines?

Question

I’m a 23yr old (m). I’ve lived my whole life in my home town of 600 people, save for about five months I spent in the city, but I hated all the people there. I’ve been feeling like I haven’t really belonged in my home town, or I don’t have anything or anyone I can much turn to to lean on. I joined the fire dept in my town a year ago thinking it might give me some of that. I’m bout to get my cirt for ff2 in a few weeks but the people seem so divided. I spoke with a recruiter a couple weeks back and he made the corps sounds like something I could get behind. I’ve got a friend as well that said he wouldn’t have traded his time there for the world. The biggest thing that holds me back is my father has a family business that I am 25% of in all but the ownership. I never bought stock into the business, only provided labor. I get told go do what makes you happy, but then I hear them bitch that I left. I’ve been a butcher, a carpenter, a dirt worker, heavy machinery operator. never fired for doing a bad job, I just get bored with most of this shit. I can’t do the same thing all the time. I have no girlfriend or wife, just two dogs who are getting old. I’ve never been 3000 mi away from my hometown. So idk this seems like a route out to learn some discipline and possibly quite a few other things. Thoughts?
