Just finished better call Saul.

As a big Breaking Bad fan I was putting off watching better call Saul for years. I finally started it this past fall and just watched the finale last night.

The whole time I was expecting Kim to die somehow which would have explained her absence in breaking bad. I really thought Lalo was going to kill her. I’m glad this didn’t happen.

I find the ending a bit ridiculous. I understand that Jimmy was miserable on the run and he wanted Kim back in his life, but to throw away his chance at doing 7 years is just insane to me. I get that he did that to win Kim back and prove chuck wrong that he’ll never change but it’s still absurd. Why not just simply reach out to Kim and ask her to come watch his sentencing? Why not do his 7 years and then try to reconcile with Kim? Maybe I’m asking for too much but it would have been nice if the ending showed Jimmy walking out of prison and Kim waiting for him. Would have been cool if he opened up a little store like his dad. Does Kim need Jimmy to do life in prison? The only thing I’ve read on here that gives me any relief is the theory that Kim will try to get his sentence reduced, but my understanding is thats not really realistic.

Not looking a bunch of comments asking if “I even watched the show”. I understand it’s a show and it doesn’t have to be realistic but I’m just really having a hard time wrapping my head around someone turning down a 7 year sentence for life so they could win back their ex wife.
