Nearly Finished Act1 (I think) Struggling to Find Motivation

Sorry if these kind of posts get tiresome for people who frequent this sub often. Not hating, just trying to determine if it's worth spending the time, since this is not a short game.

Maybe BG3 is just not for me, but I currently rank it pretty low on my CRPG list, especially compared to the Pathfinder games and DOS2. I attribute a lot my issues with BG3 to the 5e system, but I also find the story mediocre (so far) and the villains forgettable.

I'm almost done Grymforge. Is there significant improvement in Act 2 onward? Seeing mixed feedback from other posts, especially Act 3.
