Please tell me it gets better

Please tell me (30F) there’s a light at the end of this tunnel. We’ve only been separated a few months, heading to divorce. I’ve moved to a new state for a fresh start and to follow my career. We have a 3 year old, who I’m getting full custody of. STBX (30M) came with us to help me get set up for the first week in new place. Already has someone else and definitely has bought toys for another child while supposed to be spending time with his own before he doesn’t see him again for a long time.

How does someone replace their own child like this and move THIS fast?

My heart breaks for my son.
