AITAH for wanting my bf to come with me to the gynecologist

I (f19) and my boyfriend (m20) have been together for over two years. I have been on the birth control pill for well over 5 years and it’s causing issues in weight loss. So I scheduled an appointment to go see a gynecologist and just talk about Nexplanon in my arm. That’s all, nothing to serious. I asked my boyfriend if he would come with me because I am still extremely nervous. If he doesn’t go then my mom does. I can’t drive because of medical stuff going on right now. I would rather him than my mom, for obvious reasons. He started going on about how other guys go when they’re trying to get pregnant or if she already is pregnant. I told him I didn’t understand why what “other guys” do affects what you do? He still gave me the cold shoulder and won’t go.. I’m extremely scared about this especially if they put it in my arm today and would really like for him to be there. So AITAH for this?
