Grading comics with color breaking spine splits.

I’ve recently started trying to grade my own books.

I bought a copy of Overstreets Guide to Grading Comics. According to the book you can’t have a spine split on anything above a 8.5.

I’ve talked to some of my comic store’s employees and they’ve said technically a 9.8 is allowed one. Personal I’ve never seen a 9.8 with a color break.
