How does Zombie’s leech with Necrospecter drain my gods life points?

I am wondering what am I looking at here the wrong way 😄 Playing against Zombie decks with their Necrospecter relic I should be losing favors + opponent should gain life points when their leech zombies leave the field. But in practice I keep losing life points instead of favors, how so?
