Faulty Oil Light

I have a 2009 5 speed sciontC with about 140k miles on it. The oil light comes on pretty quickly after I get an oil change (specifically flashes when I brake) but then I check if the engine has oil and it seems to have perfectly normal levels. I was wondering if anyone knows what this issue is?
